Texas Instruments TI99/4a
The Texas Instruments TI-99/4A followed the TI99/4, which was let down by a poor keyboard, and was released in 1981. Based on the TMS9900 microprocessor, the TI99/4 was the first 16-bit home computer.
I'd always hankered after a TI99/4a, attracted by the professional keyboard and the slightly quirky look. I had to wait until 2022 when this one appeared on eBay, listed for spare/repair as it was untested. However, I couldn't test it as there was no PAL modulator included and no modern cable. This posed as problem...
